We Are Okay By Nina LaCour - Zoe Story Worthy - Naya

White-water Rafting in Canada

This summer I went to Canada. We went to Tremblant, which is a little north of Montreal in the mountains. The place we stayed at was actually a ski resort. The scenery was beautiful. The mountains were covered in green trees and you could see where all of the ski paths were for during the winter. When we rode the gondola, we saw deer and wildflowers of all colors. At the top of the mountain it was freezing, and there were these disgusting tiny black bugs. The locals said they show up for a week or two every summer, so we were a little unlucky with that.    One of our activities was white water rafting. We had arranged for someone to pick us up because it was a good drive to get to the river. That day in town was an iron man race, so our guide had trouble picking us up but it eventually all worked out. Our guide's name was Sebastian and he was very nice. He drove a small red car, but he was a huge guy, so it kind of looked like a clown car with all of my family piled in. On the

Response to Second Choice Book

For my second choice book, I chose to read Cress  by Marissa Meyer. In the third book of the series, the reader finds out more about the girl on the other side of the DCOMM chip. This girl's name is Cress. Cress has a very interesting story, and eventually meets up with Cinder and the rest of the characters. Cress is very shy and nervous. She was born a shell, so was cast out as a baby. Her mistress Sybil saves her and soon learns of Cress's skill with technology. Cress is put on a satellite and is forced to spy on Earth for Levana. Cress hates Luna because of this. She dreams of living on Earth and finally fitting it. While on her sate little she communicates with Cinder through the DCOMM chip. This is all without Sybil's permission.     I chose this book because I wanted to continue the series, and find out what happens to all of the characters. Like the other ones, I really enjoyed this book. The story line continued to develop new and interesting characters as well

Ellie- It's Kind of a Funny Story Juliana - The Time I Went to the Bahamas

All About Me

My name is Grace and this is my first year at Episcopal. My favorite color is pink, and my favorite animal is a flamingo. In my free time I like to draw or do projects. My favorite food is spaghetti, but my favorite meal is dessert. I have one younger sister who is in sixth grade. I also have a toy poodle named Lucy, and she is a drama queen. If you leave a pillow or a fuzzy blanket out, you better be sure she will be laying on it when you come back. She also loves to steal your chick-fil-a nuggets when you aren't looking, but she can be super sweet when she wants to be.    This summer we went to Canada. It was my first time going to Montreal. We went up in the mountains, and it was so beautiful. The weather was amazing; one day we woke up and it was 45 degrees! There was so little humidity, that it made me not want to go home. We went white water rafting, zip lining, and rock climbing, but my favorite was white water rafting. The town we were in was actually a popular ski reso

Response to First Choice Book

This summer I decided to read, Scarlet by Marissa Meyer for my choice book. I chose this book because I really enjoyed the required first book in the series, Cinder . I also enjoyed Scarlet  because the author includes lots of little details that make the story more interesting. She also gives good cliff hangers at the end of chapters that make you want to keep reading. As I was reading, the story got more and more complex, which really made it different and unlike any book I had ever read. The main characters are Scarlet, Wolf, and Cinder. Scarlet could be described as full of energy and very determined. Wolf is at first shy and mysterious, but later is revealed to be very loyal and tough. Cinder has matured more since book one, but is still very confused and inexperienced. She is also determined much like Scarlet.     In Scarlet , Cinder continues to be the main character, but the reader also gets introduced to a few other important roles. Scarlet Benoit lives in Rieux, France w
