You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home- Hannah Montana

I chose "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home," by Hannah Montana because I personally love this song and it is very inspirational. The song uses anaphora, slant rhyme, and consonance to convey a deeper meaning, which is to go to your family during tough times. They can help you through your issues because they love and care about you.

You can change your style
You can change your jeans
You can learn to fly
And you can chase your dreams
You can laugh and cry
But everybody knows
You'll always find your way back home

Anaphora is used in this section with the phrase "you can." Anaphora is used to encourage and inspire listeners to reach for the dreams. Anaphora contributes to the overall message of the song, which is to remember that your family can help through any tough times.

You can change your style
You can change your jeans
You can learn to fly
And you can chase your dreams
You can laugh and cry
But everybody knows
You'll always find your way back home

Slant rhyme is used in this section of the song with the words "style" and "fly" as well as "knows" and "home." Slant rhyme is used to make the song flow more. Slant rhyme sounds pleasing to the ear by adding a different sound to a song. Slant rhyme contributes the whole song by emphasizing on things a listener can do when they are sad or upset. This is especially prevalent when the artist talks about going "home."

You wake up. It's raining and it's Monday
Looks like one of those rough days
Time's up!
You're late again so get out the door (get out the door)

Consonance is used in this section of the song with the "a" sound. It is used to emphasize sad and bad words or feelings in this part of the song. Consonance adds to the whole song by focusing on these bad and sad emotions. The song attempts to give advice to those who feel sad or unhappy with their life. This section is in the very beginning of the song, and it leads to the chorus where the artist encourages listeners to go to their family during times of need.
